Fox Superstars is a new age poker tournament which should create a lot of interest. Poker tournaments have been around for a while now but its only in recent times that they have started to receive widespread acclaim and publicity.

In times gone by, Poker tournaments were held on steamboats heading down the Mississippi river or in saloons in the Wild West. Things were different in those days as sometimes you weren’t playing for money as much as playing for your life. The term 'Dead Man's hand' was coined after Wild Bill Hickok was killed holding it in a poker tournament.

Today poker tournaments are big multi-billion dollar business. Hundreds turn up in hope that this might be the one which catapults them onto the map. You do need a large slice of luck to win a poker tournament but ultimately its about skill.
